We were recently called by a long term client experiencing difficulties recruiting for their equity distribution team. They had previously retained a firm of recruiters to conduct a full search of the market for a particular type of candidate. For one reason or another a six month search had not delivered a candidate willing or able to take on the role.
It was agreed that the retained firm should step aside and permit Paradigm to bring a fresh perspective to the project. It soon became clear to us that the original focus of the search had been too narrow. More benefit was to be gained from looking creatively at candidates who might not, at first sight, have all the skills necessary for the role.
Utilising our significant knowledge of the clients business, their organisation and their culture we were able to identify a potential candidate who had not previously considered working for a specialist firm. Within four weeks of being appointed Paradigm had solved the problem leaving our client to concentrate on building their business free of the staffing concerns that had troubled them for the previous six months.
